📰 The Rundown
An update on Friday's note about Hattiloo: the Bridging Worlds festival is back on its website, now as a Rwanda-focused run from Oct. 13 to 25. Festival admission is free with an RSVP, and it opens Tuesday at 6 PM with a hands-on Rwandan dance workshop for kids, led by visiting artists. Tickets for We Choose Tomorrow, three original plays with the visiting Rwandan artists and Black American artists on one stage, go on sale Wednesday for $35. (via Hattiloo)
It's Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day. Post offices are closed, and most banks are too, since it's a Federal Reserve holiday. MATA doesn't list today as a holiday, so buses should be on their normal weekday schedule. (via USPS)
Downtown drivers: the City is repaving Union and Monroe between Front and Main, plus Front from Peabody Place to Court, and expects to wrap by Friday, Oct. 23. Street parking on those blocks is off-limits until then, but the garages and businesses stay open. (via City of Memphis)
Midtown has a new piece of art underfoot. Artists were set to paint a designed crosswalk at Madison Ave. and Avalon St. on Sunday, a UrbanArt Commission project with the City designed by Khara Woods. (via Action News 5)

Pint Nite at the Flying Saucer — 130 Peabody Place, all day. Every beer on the wall is $5 on Mondays, which is a good excuse to try one you'd normally pass over. The downtown bar closes at 11. Details
