Music Box: Chasity Alliston & Brandon Ross — Hattiloo Theatre's Culture Box, 37 Cooper St., doors 7:30, show 8, $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Two singers, one set, soul to rock to folk. These often sell out. Details
Caroline Davis — The Green Room at Crosstown Arts, Crosstown Concourse, doors 7, show 7:30, $20 in advance plus fees, $30 at the door. The saxophonist improvises a set built around the room itself. Details
Turnstyles record release — Bar DKDC, 964 S. Cooper St., music at 8:30, no cover posted. Turnstyles celebrates its new record, T3, with Hit Parade and Arc of Quasar on the bill, and DKDC promises it goes all night. Details

Zoo Boo — Memphis Zoo, 2000 Prentiss Pl., gates open at 6 PM, last entry 8:30, $23, $20 for members, tickets online only. It's rain or shine and tickets can't be moved to another date, so tonight is the one to buy. Details
Haunted Maze — The Mid-South Maze, 7777 Walnut Grove Rd., 7–10 PM, $25. On Wednesday we told you the haunted version runs on select Fridays, and tonight is one of them. Details
LEGO of Your Imagination — Raleigh Library, 4–5 PM, free, ages 5 to 12. Build whatever the bricks turn into. Details
📰 The Rundown
Two fixes to yesterday's guide. De La Soul has dropped off the Mempho lineup, and single-day passes go up in price at 10 this morning. And Hattiloo has taken the Bridging Worlds festival off its website and ticketing with no announcement we could find, so call the box office at 901-525-0009 before you head over. If you've got business at the Shelby County Clerk, go this morning. Every Clerk's office closes at noon today for staff training, regular hours return Monday, and online services stay up the whole time. (via Action News 5)
South Main is closed in both directions under the rail bridge between E. Carolina Ave. and E.H. Crump Blvd. while the city repairs concrete on the bridge. There's no reopening date yet, so plan another way through. (via Action News 5)
Fall break starts Monday. Memphis-Shelby County Schools students are out Oct. 12–19 and back Oct. 20, and Germantown schools are out Oct. 12–16. Today closes out the first quarter. (via Memphis-Shelby County Schools)

Germantown Community Theatre opens Little Women: The Broadway Musical tonight at 7:30, the four March sisters set to music through Oct. 25, so grab seats from $18.50.
One week from tonight, Theatre Memphis opens Million Dollar Quartet on its Lohrey stage, the musical about the 1956 night Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins jammed at Sun Records, so get your seats.
The Memphis Symphony and Opera Memphis perform Verdi's Rigoletto in concert at the Cannon Center on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7:30, so book your tickets.
Pick a costume for the Memphis Zoo's first Howl-O-Ween Hustle 5K, a 7:30 AM run, walk or stroll through the zoo and Overton Park on Saturday, Oct. 24, with a medal, a T-shirt and zoo admission included, so register by Oct. 19 ($70, $60 for members).
