Yes! It’s been very helpful. We went to the Orpheum 901 event last night for drinks and a fabulous tour. Their management wanted to know how we had heard about the event and we shared your listings.

I like your format. It is easy to scan. I’m using it as an awareness alert in case I want to do something on the spur of a moment.

You know the drill.

Finding out what’s happening in Memphis means checking a handful of event calendars, six venue Instagrams, an endless Eventbrite scroll, and a Facebook account you only keep for the events. And you still hear about the best stuff on Monday — after it happened.

It’s not that there’s nothing to do in Memphis. There’s so much to do you can’t keep up with it. You just have to know where to look.

Now you only have to look in one place.

One email. The whole city.

  • Today in Memphis the 5–8 things actually worth leaving the house for, tonight and today.
  • Food & drink openings, pop-ups, and where everyone's going this week.
  • The rundown quick local news that affects your life. Never doom, never crime-bait.
  • Looking ahead tickets on sale and dates to grab before they're gone.
  • The whole 901 Midtown to Whitehaven to Germantown to Southaven. If it's happening in the Memphis area, it's in here.

The Hernando de Soto Bridge — the double steel arch that carries I-40 over the Mississippi into Memphis — catching late sun against a bright blue sky

A few honest answers.

Is it really free?

Yes — free forever, no paywall, ever. Local sponsors keep the lights on, and sponsored spots are always clearly labeled.

How is this different from what's already out there?

We read everything — the calendars, the blogs, the venue pages, all of it. That's kind of the point. But nobody pulls the whole picture together and sends it to you daily. Hey Memphis is one 5-minute read that catches the big festivals AND the small stuff that slips through: the second-floor concert series, the suburb events, the pop-up that only got announced on somebody's Instagram story.

Do I need Facebook?

No. That's half the reason we built this.

Who writes it?

Real Memphians. Every event is verified with the organizer before it goes in — if we say it's Saturday at 7 and $10, it's Saturday at 7 and $10.
