Rain plans for the weekend, the LeWitt Etudes at Crosstown, and a free French film closer at Rhodes

Rain plans for the weekend, the LeWitt Etudes at Crosstown, and a free French film closer at Rhodes

Hey Memphis 👋 It's Friday, and today is an indoor day: a high of 81, storms likely through the morning and into early afternoon, and one more round around 5 or 6. By 7 the chance is down to 30%. Saturday looks better than it did yesterday, with the rain chance down to 18% by afternoon.

The weekend we mapped out yesterday starts tonight. We re-checked every stop on it this morning: nothing canceled, nothing sold out. What the rain did bring is backup plans. If Saturday turns wet, the Evergreen Street Fair moves to Sunday, same 11 to 3, and Tom Lee's rain-or-shine lantern parade has Beale Street Landing as its backup. Zoo Boo runs rain or shine, and Germantown's Night Rider bike ride stops taking sign-ups at 5 today. Missed the plan? Yesterday's guide is here. And Drivin N Cryin still plays the Shell free at 7, right as the rain backs off, so it's worth repeating: pack the poncho.

🏡 Community Corner

About breakfast: we asked three times, and not one of you gave up your spot. We're choosing to read that as a city guarding its biscuits. The question stays open, so reply whenever you're ready to share.

Shirley C. did write back yesterday: "My daughter loves Widespread Panic so I was happy to show her that." That's the Mempho lineup doing its job. And thanks to Shannon C. for the Artwalk tip in the Rundown. She'll be there with her own work.

The tip line never closes — a pop-up, a band, a Saturday we missed. No gatekeeping — send it to hey@heymemphis.co.

That's it from us — the planning's done, the fun part's yours. See you Monday at 6.
