Update on The Greenway — Crosstown Concourse, East Atrium next to Farmburger, 6–7 PM, free. Wolf River Conservancy lays out where the Greenway actually goes next — the trail meant to run the whole way from the Mississippi out to Collierville. If you've ever walked a finished stretch and wondered when the rest shows up, this is the hour somebody answers that. Registration is preferred, walk-ins are welcome. Details

The Collierville library runs its book club out of a brewery, which is already a better idea than most book clubs have had. Tonight it's a trivia night — book questions and general knowledge both. Nethergate, Living Dissection, Phyrxian Sun, Liminus and Burnt Witch — Growlers, 1911 Poplar Ave., doors 6 and show 7, $10. Five metal bands for ten dollars. That is two dollars a band, on a Wednesday, in a room that will be loud enough that nobody has to talk about work. Details

Point Break, 35th anniversary — Malco Cordova Cinema Grill, 1080 N. Germantown Pkwy., 7 PM. Keanu goes undercover, Swayze robs banks in a Reagan mask, and thirty-five years later it is back on a real screen for exactly one night. Rated R, 132 minutes, and Malco says there is no special pricing on it — regular ticket. Details

Comedy Open Mic — Havenhaus, 2487 Broad Ave., sign-up at 7 and mic at 8, free, 21+. Everybody writes their name on a slip of paper, it goes in a bucket, and the hosts draw the order at random. Five minutes each and the light comes on at four. The venue's own pitch for why there's no cover: "because a most people probably won't be that funny." Details

LEGO Club — Officer Geoffrey Redd Library, 5094 Poplar Ave., 3:30–4:30 PM, free. An hour of building with somebody else's LEGO, in somebody else's building, and not one piece of it ends up under your bare foot at eleven at night. Walk in, no sign-up, through age 12. Details

Kaleidoscope Club — Dixon Gallery & Gardens, 4339 Park Ave., 4–5 PM, $8 and free for members. Ages 5 to 9, in the Dixon's education building, making the art instead of walking past it. Registration is required and space is limited, so check before you drive over. Details

📰 The Rundown

Stateline Road closes today between Horn Lake Road and Highway 51 while the railroad rebuilds its crossing. Local traffic only, and the city expects it back open in under 24 hours. No detour has been posted, so if your morning goes through there, give yourself the extra ten minutes. (via the City of Southaven)

There is dirt moving at the Collierville library now. We mentioned the groundbreaking last week; construction has actually started on a 300-person civic center, an adult reading center, a conservatory and youth literacy areas. A section of Halle Park is closed the whole time, and the finish date is spring 2028. (via Action News 5)

Belmont Grill serves its last plate on Saturday, August 29, after nearly 42 years at 4970 Poplar. The building is 90 years old and needs work nobody is going to pay for, and the property has sold to a commercial real estate firm. Owner Jeff Anderson is not calling it over: "For some reason, I don't think this is the final chapter." Either way, you have a week and a half. (via Memphis Flyer)

JoJo's Espresso is crossing the state line. Taylor and Hannah Whiddon are putting a 2,200-square-foot cafe — seating for 60 to 75, pastries from Palmer House Bakery, cold brew and matcha — into Southaven's DeSoto District next to Silo Square. Somebody put paneer tikka on a pizza on Park Avenue — Shreya's Pizza opened at 3439 Park Ave. this summer doing Italian-Indian, which reads like a dare until you get to the menu: Mumbai Street Pizza, Paneer Tikka Pizza, and a plain pepperoni for whoever you brought who was not going to be talked into it. Wings too. Open seven days, 11 AM to 9 PM, so it is also a Wednesday answer. Their menu
