Happy $9.01 Day πŸŽ‰

Happy $9.01 Day πŸŽ‰

The city's official party was the weekend. Today the 901 belongs to your block.

Hey Memphis πŸ‘‹ It's Tuesday, and it's 901 Day. Sunny and 99 out there with a heat index near 107 β€” the 901 celebrating in its own way.

β˜• Byway today

Paradox at PeCo β€” 248 S. Cooper, 7 AM–1 PM

One trailer today β€” that's the whole posted schedule, and the trailers do move, so their IG has the full week. They've also got a new menu landing this week, which means the August drinks have had their run. New here? Our coffee guide has the story on the Airstream that comes to you.

One thing worth knowing before you plan today: the city's official 901 Celebration already happened. It ran Friday on South Main and Sunday on Beale, and the City deliberately left the day itself alone β€” 901 Day belongs to the businesses and the neighborhoods. Which is why today's best stuff is a yard, a brewery, a ballpark and a theater instead of a main stage. It's also why so much of it costs exactly $9.01.

Memphis gets a new music venue tomorrow night. A zoo note worth pinning somewhere: Tennessee Tuesdays are genuinely free for Tennessee residents, but reservations are required and they drop at 9 a.m. the Wednesday before. Today's are long gone. Tomorrow at 9 a.m. is when next Tuesday's open. (via Memphis Zoo)

🏑 Community Corner

Yesterday we asked where your corner of town actually celebrates 901 Day β€” not the official programming, the block-level stuff. The porch cookout, the bar that prices everything at $9.01, the church that does something every year. Send it to hey@heymemphis.co and we'll run what comes in. No gatekeeping.

That's it for today β€” see you tomorrow at 6.
