TL;DR

The best haunted houses in Memphis for 2026: Haunted Web Scream Park on South Perkins (four haunts on one ticket, $24.99–$34.99), Wicked Ways (the city's big all-indoor gore house), Shadowlands at Jones Orchard in Millington ($25), and Cedar Hill's Haunted Farm in Hernando. For a lighter October: Zoo Boo, the Botanic Garden's Halloween Hike, and Elmwood Cemetery's Soul of the City tour. Every date checked October 11, 2026.

Haunted houses in Memphis run on a short clock: about five weekends, a couple of bonus Thursdays, and a Halloween night that sells out. The catch is that half of what turns up when you search is last year's schedule, and a haunt that ran in 2025 can be a parked web page by the next October.

So this is the 2026 list only: every haunt, maze and ghost tour below was checked at its own site on October 11, 2026, with the nights, hours and prices the operators actually post, plus age and content warnings where they print them. The scary stuff comes first, the family-friendly October after it, and the haunted-history walks last. Planning the rest of the weekend? Start with things to do in Memphis. — Josh

The big haunted houses

The full-scare attractions, with actors, fog, strobes and long lines on Saturdays. All four have posted 2026 calendars.

  • Haunted Web Scream ParkSouth Perkins at I-240, 2665 South Perkins

Four haunted houses on one ticket: Piney River Campground, Slotch Sanatorium, The Residence and Voodoo Village, all indoors, rain or shine. Open Oct 2–Nov 1: Fri–Sat 7pm–midnight, Sun and select Thursdays 7–10pm, general admission $24.99–$29.99 plus fees ($34.99 on Halloween), single-haunt tickets from $19.99 and a $10 Respawn Pass to run it all twice. There's no minimum age, but guests under 16 need an adult over 21 with them; the hidden 21+ Skeleton Key Lounge is an add-on, and Nov 1 is 'Lights Out' night (one glow stick, total darkness).

  • Wicked Ways Haunted HouseMemphis, 160 Cumberland St

The all-indoor gore house, celebrating 15 years in 2026, with clowns, undead and the add-on 5-Minute Cannibal Escape Room and a VR 'torture chamber.' Through Oct 31: Fri–Sat 7pm–midnight, Thursdays (Oct 15, 22, 29) and Sundays (Oct 11, 18, 25) 7–10pm, and Halloween 6pm–1am. Child tickets (10 and under) are $15 at the door only, and groups of 12+ pay $15.95 each through Oct 16; standard prices are on their ticket page. No age limit, but the house warns its horror is adult-level and actors won't tone it down for kids.

  • Shadowlands Festival of Fear at Jones OrchardMillington, 6880 Singleton Pkwy

Two outdoor haunts on the orchard's farm, Hysteria and The Shadowlands, about 30 minutes each. Fri–Sun through Oct 31: 7–11pm Fridays and Saturdays, 7–9:30pm Sundays. $25 for one, $40 for the Scream Pass to both, VIP skip-the-line $35–$49. Heavy fog and strobes, rough ground (not wheelchair accessible), closed when it rains; no age limit, but they suggest an adult along for anyone under 13.

  • Cedar Hill's Haunted FarmHernando, MS, 8 Love Rd

The DeSoto County haunt: five night attractions on a working farm — a haunted hayride (no gore), the quarter-mile Trail of Terror in the woods, the Sensturbia haunted barn, a zombie paintball shoot and a flashlight corn maze. Fri–Sun, Oct 2–Nov 1; tickets from 5pm, scares start at dark (7–7:30pm) and lines close at 10pm. Combos run $29.95 (pick one) to $59.95 (all five) plus tax; the trail and barn require 48 inches tall, and the farm says haunted events may be too scary for children under 10.

  • Priddy Farms Millington — Draykon's Tortured SoulsMillington, 3805 West Union Rd

A 5,000-square-foot walk-through billed as 'maximum screams without the blood and gore,' next to Draykon, a 150-foot inflatable dragon for younger kids. The farm's 2026 page says the haunted house opens weekends in October and points to its social pages for details; as of Oct 11 the ticket link still showed the 2025 season, so check before you drive.

Not confirmed for 2026 — check before you go

A few names that turn up in Memphis haunted-house searches had nothing posted for 2026 when we checked on October 11. FearZone (home of the House of the Red Door Asylum, most recently under Minglewood Hall): its website no longer loads a haunt and its ticket box office lists no events. One trap if you search for it: a different 'Fear Zone' with 2026 dates is in Topeka, Kansas. Torment at Tom's Farm in Rossville: the farm's website was down. Priddy Farms' haunted house is promised for October weekends but had no 2026 nights or prices posted yet (see above). If any of them post a 2026 schedule, this page gets updated.

The honest answers

What is the scariest haunted house in Memphis?

For full intensity, the two big ones are Wicked Ways on Cumberland Street (all indoors, gore, and the house says it won't tone scares down for kids) and Haunted Web Scream Park on South Perkins (four haunts in one night). Cedar Hill's Trail of Terror in Hernando is the scariest outdoor option, with a 48-inch height minimum.

How much do haunted houses in Memphis cost in 2026?

Haunted Web runs $24.99–$34.99 plus fees by night, Shadowlands is $25 for one haunt or $40 for both, the Mid-South Maze haunted maze is $25, and Cedar Hill's combos run $29.95–$59.95 plus tax. Wicked Ways sells child tickets (10 and under) for $15 at the door. All prices from each haunt's own site, October 11, 2026.

Are there haunted houses in Memphis for kids?

Yes, with some sorting. Zoo Boo, the Botanic Garden's Halloween Hike and the daytime corn mazes are built for little kids. The Amuse Spooktacular haunted hotel is aimed at preteens and up, and Priddy Farms bills its haunted house as no blood or gore. Cedar Hill says its haunts may be too scary under 10; Shadowlands suggests an adult with anyone under 13. More in our Memphis with kids guide.

When do Memphis haunted houses close for the season?

Wicked Ways, Shadowlands and the Mid-South Maze wrap on Halloween night, Oct 31. Haunted Web, Cedar Hill's Haunted Farm and Zoo Boo run one more night, Sunday Nov 1, and Priddy Farms' pumpkin patches stay open through Nov 8.

Are there ghost tours in Memphis?

Year-round. Backbeat Tours runs a 90-minute ghost walk from Beale Street ($27 adults), and Historical Haunts runs the family-friendly Dark Memphis Walking Tour plus a 21+ Haunted Pub Crawl on most Fridays (both $25 for adults). In October, Elmwood Cemetery's Soul of the City tour (Oct 16–17) is the one to book. Make a night of it downtown with our downtown Memphis guide.
