📰 The Rundown

Memphis has a new Michelin Bib Gourmand. Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar in Crosstown Concourse made the 2026 American South list on Oct. 21, the only Memphis newcomer this year, and Hog & Hominy kept its Bib. The guide singled out two dishes, the cà ri Sài Gòn and the cánh gà lá chanh. (via the MICHELIN Guide)

Four days left to vote early. All 26 Shelby County early-voting sites are open Monday through Thursday, 11 AM–7 PM, and early voting ends Thursday, Oct. 29. The Election Commission's downtown office at 157 Poplar keeps 9-to-5 hours. Bring a photo ID. (Sites and hours via the Shelby County Election Commission)

Third Street bridge work goes overnight again this week. Tonight from 8 PM to 6 AM the northbound Third Street ramp to southbound I-55 closes for a concrete pour, Tuesday night southbound Third Street closes with detours posted, and TDOT lists Wednesday and Thursday as backup nights. (via TDOT)

Shelby Farms Park's Woodland Discovery Playground closes today and stays closed through January while the park sets up Starry Nights. From Nov. 7, Pine Lake Drive also closes to cars between Great View Drive and the playground. (via Shelby Farms Park Conservancy)

🏡 Community Corner

Matt L. asked if there's a website with a calendar of everything. There is: heymemphis.co/events has today, tonight and the weekend, built from the same research as this email.

The Halloween house roundup runs Thursday. So far the one organized list in town is Cooper-Young's home decorating contest, which the neighborhood association judges this weekend. If a yard on your street goes all out, reply with the block by Wednesday night.

The tip line never closes — a pop-up, a band, a Monday-night find we missed. No gatekeeping — send it to hey@heymemphis.co.

That's it for today — see you tomorrow at 6.
